History

The organization was started in 2008 as a result of gang violence in this area.

Farmers, business people from George and members of the Hoekwil and Touwsranten community came together to find a solution.

Farmers and community members decided that they needed to offer these youngsters support so that they can do well in school.

Since 2008 we have grown our understanding of the effects of poverty, alcohol abuse and domestic violence on families in this community.

After 15 years we have the buy in from the community and a very close relationship with the clinic, community members, parents and the schools.

And there is no more gang violence in this area.
